This magnificent jewelry box brings together from two exotic and divergent continents.The body ant top are solid macassar ebony fro Asia and the legs ,knobs and frame are made from African Gaboon ebony.
Thecurved sides  give this  box a unique look and feel. The ebony legs are mortised into the mitered corners.
The mitered corners are reinforced with internal ebony  "butterfly" splines.
The stunning figure of the "flame" chestnut burl veneer lid is given greater depth by the contrast to the rich wenge frame and the solid snakewood knobs.
No stains are used. This is the natural color of the woods.
The cherry and macassar tray features removable  dividers and the lining is tan suede cloth.
This box is signed and all the woods used are listed on the bottom.
This beautiful one-of-a-kind box is finished with special oils and waxes and hand rubbed to a high luster.
