The mitered corners are reinforced with internal "butterfly" splines.
The lid is a veneered panel of English walnut burl veneer framed in wenge and a wenge knob inlaid with macassar ebony.
The tray is made of sapele with macassar ebony dividers .
No stains are used. This is the natural color of the woods.
This box is signed and all the woods used are listed on the bottom.
This beautiful one-of-a-kind box is finished with special oils and waxes and hand rubbed to a high luster.
