The body of this stunning jewelry box is Asian macassar ebony
with gabon ebony "butterfly" splines at the mitered corners. The legs are Gabon ebony. Note the "curl"
in the body of the box.
The lid is a six part radial matched veneered
panel of macassar ebony framed in wenge with a cherry and macassar ebony border inlay.The tray and dividers
are cherry with ebony dividers. The knob is inlaid with cherry and macassar ebony.
The bottom is lined with tan suede cloth.
This
box is signed and all the woods used are listed on the bottom.
This beautiful
one-of-a-kind box is finished with special oils and waxes and hand rubbed to a high luster.
