This unique box is made of South American leopardwood with scurly maple "outrigger" legs suspended by maple pegs at the mitered corners.The top is an Bolivian rosewood veneered panel in a Peruvian walnut frame.The top panel has a border inlay ofmaple, walnut and cherry.
It has a hand carved maple burl handle. This floating box design was inspired by the Polynesian canoes we observed on our "Around the world Sailing Adventure".
All the woods used have their natural finish.
The box has a hand rubbed Osmo ® polyx-oil finish, a combination of vegetable oils and waxes.
Each box is signed all the woods used are engraved in the bottom.
Bottom lined with espresso pigskin suede leather.
