This unique box is made leopardwood with sapele "outrigger" legs suspended by maple dowels at the mitered corners.The top is a walnut burl veneered panel in a beli frame.The top panel has a border inlay of chreey, walnut and maple.
It has a hand carved leopardwood handle. This floating box design was inspired by the Polynesian canoes we observed on our "Around the world Sailing Adventure".
All the woods used have their natural finish.
The box has a hand rubbed Osmo ® polyx-oil finish, a combination of vegetable oils and waxes.
Each box is signed all the woods used are engraved in the bottom.
Bottom lined with espresso pigskin suede leather.
