This unique box is made of ambrosia maple with wenge "outrigger" legs suspended by maple dowels at the mitered corners.The top is a Japanese tamo ash veneered panel in a walnut frame.The top panel has a border inlay of bocote.
It has a hand carved wenge and zebrawood handle. This floating box design was inspired by the Polynesian canoes we observed on our "Around the world Sailing Adventure".
All the woods used have their natural finish.
The box has a hand rubbed Osmo ® polyx-oil finish, a combination of vegetable oils and waxes.
Each box is signed all the woods used are engraved in the bottom.
Bottom lined with espresso pigskin suede leather.
Size 11 x 7 x 3 , Woods; ambrosia maple, walnut, bocote, tamo ash, wenge and zebrawood.
