This Arts and Crafts style Tea Box is created from highly figured African sapele pomelle. The construction utilizes wenge dovetail splines at the mitered corners. The top features a 15 piece mosaic panel of end grain bubinga slices set in a Peruvian walnut frame.
The lid is hinged with solid brass Brusso stop hinges.
The box has a hand rubbed Osmo ® polyx-oil finish, a combination of vegetable oils and waxes.
Each box is signed and dated and all the woods used are listed on the bottom.
Size 10 x 6 3/4 x 4, Woods; sapele, wenge, Peruvian walnut and bubinga.
